George and I became friends when he became a member of Washington Kiwanis. We sat near each other at our luncheon meetings, and quickly discovered we shared a common interest in shooting, cars, etc. Enjoyed many luncheon conversations with George, a knowledgeable guy, with a good sense of humor. He certainly will be missed. Bob Opdyke

George was my dentist for many years but I always considered him a friend first. When my Dad needed open heart surgery and needed all kinds of crazy dental work to get dental clearance to fly to the Cleveland clinic I thought it would take forever. George called me late at night and said he had gotten someone to work with him late the next night and he'd have my Dad ready to go. He worked until after 10pm filling cavities and doing a couple root canals. Almost 20 years later he attended my Dad's memorial service and I told him that he was partially responsible for saving my Dad's life back then. Truly a heart of gold and wonderful family man. Thankfully I got to give him a hug in Shoprite just over a week ago. RIP George, you will be so missed.

My sincerest condolences to MaryEllen, Georgie Nick, and Kristina.
I will always remember George for all of his virtues and also his quirkiness. George would do anything for anybody and you could always count on him to have your back. He truly had a heart of gold.
I’ve known George for 45 years and can honestly say I have never met another person who has crashed most anything he ever touched that had a motor. A quad, a car, a plane, a motorcycle, and probably other things he never admitted to. He always, over time, laughed those episodes off and moved on to the next adventure.
George’s next adventure in Heaven will undoubtedly include watching over the love of he life…his family.
God bless you George, we all love you!

George, MaryEllen, Georgie and Kristie (Krispy), When I look through all of the photos I have of our times together there is one thing that stands out - George's smile. He was happy to be with people, share what he had with them and make sure they had a never-ending glass of something to drink. We had great times vacationing together, whether at a cabin in the woods, a condo by the ocean, or in the hot desert - it was always fun to spend time with you and your family. I will treasure those memories forever and know that you are resting in peace. You made an impact on all of our lives and I know you will be doing the same in Heaven.
God Bless - I know you will be with your family in spirit forever.

I remember when George first came into the rooms. I was having major tooth issues and George offered to help me even though his practice didn't accept the insurance I had. He performed a procedure that alleviated the pain I was in and gave me an incredibly affordable payment plan. I am forever grateful. RIP George. I'm sorry I didn't see the internal conflict you suffered from.

My message thread with George is full of pictures of his beautiful grandchildren and proud stories about them. He was so fond of his children and he loved to brag about his grandkids. I'm so sorry that he could not find a way to stay to see them grow up. May his memory stay alive in their lives.

I met George when he first came into the rooms. He was rough and grumpy. Which I can definitely relate to. When an alcoholic realizes that he/she can't drink anymore,, it's not a good thing. I had a bad tooth in my head and no insurance. George took care of my problem and put me on a payment plan. To this day I thank God for putting George in my life.
My prayers are with his family

Cadillac George! Was with him Weds. at Grace when he announced his 11 years. What a smile! I'll miss him deeply. Can still feel his hugs and hear him whisper to me...."go get em Val". Only person in our "club" who never forgot to ask me about my client and his friend Cathy. THAT was special. So so sad and sorry

The above picture is myself with my cousins George and Jerry and my mom Agnes and their mom Gloria and Dad George This was taken at the Playboy club where we used to go with them often. Those were some of my best childhood memories. I also have great memories spending time with George at their pool in Washington as this was one of my favorite things to do when I was a kid. Great memories continued throughout our lives and you will be very missed.Rest in peace cousin. We all love you very much.

We are so very sorry for your loss Mary Ellen, Georgie Nick and Kristina and all the family. So many memories having worked with George, keeping all of us on our toes! And a very special memory to me is when the 4 of you helped us get settled into our home. George let me store some of our furniture in the Hunter Building basement. Interesting how many memories there are and it is such a deep loss for our community.

George was not only my friend but he was my dentist temporarily. He helped me with a very sore and painful tooth. I had no insurance and he not only extracted the tooth, he also referred me as to an excellent dentist that I still saw until he retired . George was a good man and a good friend. I saw him on Wednesday night at the men's meeting. He said that he was celebrating 11 years of sobriety. It's all easy from here G. Love you. Will miss you. Rest in sober power my friend.

There are not many people who can say that they looked forward to going to the dentist.I did because of my friend George . There were stories some told many times. Of course George had the stage for he always had something in my mouth and I could only grunt. We spent many days hunting and a few fishing even in Antigua. A wonderful family, thanks for sharing your life with me.

George was a force of nature. He lit up every room with his laughter. We will always remember our dear friend for being kind and generous. He had the most wonderful and loving family. The lake house was always filled with laughter, fishing stories and very lively political debates. Our Blueberry Bunch won’t be the same without him. We will forever be grateful for the day the Polachak family moved in. It was meant to be for sure. Our love and prayers go out to Mary Ellen, Georgie and Kristina. If a man’s wealth can be judged by his family , then George was a rich man indeed. George must be exploring heaven with his trusty beagle LC by his side, just waiting to tell us how he already caught the biggest fish beyond the pearly gates.
