Obituary of George P Polachak

George P. Polachak DMD, 63, of Washington, NJ passed away suddenly on March 30, 2023. George was born on April 9, 1959 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late George E. and Gloria "Shimko" Polachak. He graduated from Warren Hills High School class of 1977. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree as well as his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He owned and operated Polachak Family Dentistry in Washington for many years until his retirement in 2016. George was a fun loving person who loved to talk about his many adventures. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors to the fullest. He traveled extensively throughout North America hunting big game. Some of George's great accomplishments were his Pope and Young record Elk and his Boone and Crocket record NJ Black Bear that tipped the scale at more than 670 lbs. George was also a caring and giving person. He was a past member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Washington. As a self proclaimed motorhead, George could often be seen throughout town in any one of his vehicles or motorcycles. Ultimately, the thing George was most proud of in life was his family. George is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary Ellen "Kavcsak" Polachak; his children, George N. Polachak and Kristina Hartman and their spouses whom George always referred to as "his other kids" Kristin Polachak and Eric Hartman; his grandchildren, George R. Polachak, Charles Polachak, Weston Hartman, and was looking forward to welcoming his first granddaughter in June 2023; and a brother, Gerald Polachak.
