Obituary of Maria Chrissy Wright
Maria Christina Wright "Chrissy", 66, of Oxford NJ passed away peacefully on Oct 2, 2019 at Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Care in Fredon, NJ. After an 8 year long battle with Lung Cancer.
Chrissy was born on October 24, 1952 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Jose and Maria Fernandez.
Chrissy was a graduate of Warren Hills High school Class of 1970, in Washington NJ. She met the love of her life in 1968, Daniel H. Wright of Mt. Lake, NJ. They were married in 1970 at the United Methodist Church in Buttzville, NJ. In 1976 they were blessed with their only son Daniel JR. "Bumper", and he made their family complete. Chrissy loved dogs and especially her family furbabies. In 2005, she became a grandmother to her only granddaughter Carmen Maria Wright the light of her life. Chrissy loved spending time with her family, traveling, and camping, and she also had a love for collecting Hallmarks. Chrissy retired from Acme Markets after 30 years of service in Washington, NJ.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Daniel H Wright Sr. Her loving Son Daniel "Bumper" and his wife Jennifer. Her beautiful Granddaughter Carmen Maria. Her Sister Teresa Garland and her husband Thomas and Many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brothers Joseph "Pepe" Fernanadez and Antonio "Tony" Fernandez, Sister in Laws, Bonnie Fernandez, Carol Ann Mitchell and Miriam Fernandez. And her nephew Thomas "Tommy" Garland and a niece Robin Fernandez.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday October 6, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home following visitation. Cremation will be private.
