Obituary of Richard F. Gorga

Richard F. Gorga, 79, of Washington, NJ, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Hunterdon Medical Center. Born: On August 2, 1926 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was a son of the late Frank and Madeline Gorga. Personal: He and his wife, Irene, were married for 58 years. A resident of Washington for the last 55 years, Richard moved there from Union, NJ. He was employed by American National Can in Washington for 45 years retiring in 1988. Richard was an Army veteran of World War II. He was stationed in the Philippines. Memberships: He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Washington. He was a member of the American Legion in Washington. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Irene, he is survived by two sons, Robert of Davis, Ca, and Gerald of Easton; two sisters, Doris Bates of Middlesex, and Richard's twin sister Eunice Slack of Toms River; three grandchildren, Shannon, Ashley, and Raphael; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor. Services: Visitation, services, and cremation will be private at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ.
