Obituary of Jeffrey F Bearse

Jeffrey F. Bearse

Few squeezed as much enjoyment and love out of life than Jeffrey F. Bearse, who passed from this world at age 61 after a brief illness. Jeff was the loving husband of Constance A. (Colatriano) Bearse for more than 33 years. They first met in fifth grade. Jeff and Connie were inseparable, working and playing together to build a special life based on mutual dedication.

Jeff was born on October 28, 1956 the beloved son of Frank and Adele Bearse. He always had a fascination with numbers, graduated with a degree in mathematics from Glassboro College in 1979, and developed a career in computer software. Jeff provided expert technical and management services to companies such as ExxonMobil, Lucent Technology, ATT, Comverse, Trifecta Software and First Data.

Jeff and Connie loved the ocean and beach, taking annual vacation trips to Murrells Inlet, SC and Cape May, NJ. He was a long-time firefighter with the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department. Jeff graduated from Warren Hills Regional Senior High School in 1975. He was a varsity wrestler. He was a dedicated golfer with memberships at Harker’s Hollow, Silver Creek, and Hawk Pointe country clubs. He and his many golf partners won numerous championships over the years. Jeff’s outgoing sense of humor was exceeded only by his generosity and loyalty to his many friends.

In addition to Connie, Jeff is survived by a sister Bonnie (Terry) Barton of Albuquerque, NM; brother Stacy (Nancy) of Nicholasville, KY; sister-in-law Colleen (Peter) D’Antonio of Lebanon, NJ; and brother-in-law Chris (Lisa) Colatriano of Long Valley, NJ. Jeff was “Uncle Jeff” to Courtney and Quentin Bearse; and Christopher, Jack and Ryan Colatriano. He was great-uncle to Zoe, Benjamin, Laney and Abigail Bearse. Jeff’s kind and gentle nature extended to animals, including Gracie and Chloe, cherished family companions.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Jeff’s name to Feline Urban Rescue and Rehab, Inc., PO Box 144, Stewartsville, NJ  08886.
