Obituary of Edward A Hajder

Edward Hajder was born on October 24, 1930 in Ruda Dombruwka, Poland.

He was the son of the late Kataszyna and Franciszek Hajder. As a child, Edward survived the Nazi occupation of Poland. Edward married Janina Rogulska on April 29, 1956 and they emigrated from Poland to New York City on January 11, 1960. Edward worked several jobs as a porter on Fifth Avenue before moving his family to Washington, New Jersey in 1969. He worked for BP Chemicals in Port Murray, NJ as a machine operator for 22 years until his retirement in 1992. Ed and Janina were married for 47 years and they are now happily reunited in heaven. Edward had a deep and abiding faith in God. Ed was a loving and generous husband and father and a good, hardworking man. He enjoyed family vacations at the shore. He loved to tend to his garden and his beloved dog, Ozzy.

Edward is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Jermyn, Maria Simpson and Krystyna Hajder and also by his son, Eric Hajder. He has seven grandchildren Catrina Simpson, Skyler and Brandan Jermyn, Angel Dubiel, Anna and Erica Hajder and Lilyana Spengler. Edward also has two great-grandchildren, Ben and Mariah Dubiel. He was predeceased by two sisters Anatolia Rogulska of Washington, NJ and Genowefa Zielinski and Maria Zawrotniak of Poland.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday July 16, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. Theodore Catholic Church. 855 State Hwy Route 57. Port Murray, NJ 07865. Interment will follow at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. 654 Ferry Rd. Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edward's name to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Westcott Dr, Flemington, NJ 08822. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
