Obituary of Helen Mary Neukum
Helen Mary Neukum, 87, of Pittstown, NJ passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Warren Hospital on January 8, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
Born on January 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Wasil and Mary Kaczetow.
Helen was a graduate of Brooklyn High School. She was always so proud to be the only child out of 12 in her family that graduated High School. Helen was employed as a factory worker and a seamstress until her retirement in 1992. She was a very talented seamstress. She enjoyed Atlantic City Casinos and loved to play the slot machines. Helen was an avid reader and Yahtzee player. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her potato pancakes. She was of the Catholic faith. Helen adored her children and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving children, 2 daughters, Janet Leonard and her husband Tom and Denise Cashin., 1 son, Frank Neukum and his wife Kim. Her cherished grandchildren, Melissa, Chelsea and Frank. 1 great-grandson Logan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Francis Neukum, her 11 siblings and a granddaughter Kristy
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, January 14, 2018 5-7 PM, at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882 Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
