Obituary of Veronica C. Gneiding
Veronica C. Gneiding, 85, of Mansfield Township, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Easton Hospital with her family by her side.
Born: On September 3, 1922 in Yonkers, NY, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Carey.
Personal: She and her husband, Howard, were married for 62 years. Veronica lived in Mansfield Township for the last 21 years, previously living in Swartswood, NJ. She was a receptionist, switchboard operator and floor supervisor for American Can Co., Washington, NJ for 26 years, retiring in 1980. Veronica enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Ontario, camping and fishing. She was of the Catholic faith.
Memberships: She was a past member of the Mt. Bethel Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, Howard, she is survived by a son Howard and his wife Joyce of Orefield, Pa; three daughters, Irene Kurpicki and her husband John of Washington, Nancy Gerardi and her husband Ron of Myrtle Beach, SC and Andrea Turek and her husband Tony of Bangor, Pa; a sister, Mary Schurz and her husband Robert of Bergenfield, NJ; seven grandchildren, Keith Kurpicki, Karen Kurpicki-Burke, Daniel Gneiding, Christopher Gneiding, Caitlin Gneiding, Joseph Turek and Peter Turek; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Kurpicki and Gabrielle Turek; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Kyle Gerardi, and two step-great-grandchildren, Ryan and Chloe Burke. Five brothers and two sisters died earlier. Services:
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. with Fr. Blaise Baran officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be in Port Murray Cemetery, Port Murray, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, Washington, NJ.
