Obituary of Randall C Smith

Randall "Randy" C. Smith Jr., 33, of Glen Gardner, NJ passed away suddenly on July 24, 2017 on the family farm. Randy was born on August 27, 1983 in Phillipsburg, NJ to Randall and Yvonne Smith Sr. Randy was a graduate of Voorhees High School and Poly Tech class of 2001 with a degree in Mechanics. He married the love of his life Vicky in 2012. Randy was a farmer by trade and by heart. He worked the family farm "Forge Hill Farm" from dawn to dusk, often times coming home for dinner and heading back out to the fields to work some more. He was a member of the Hackettstown Livestock Auction. He loved animals especially his cows. Randy was a tinkerer. Always working on some machinery. He enjoyed BMX biking and once entered a pro tournament and took 2nd place even though he was a beginner. Randy was a fan of tractor pulling and John Deere Tractors he brought several tractors year after year to the County Fair. He made himself available to help others even if it meant losing sleep. As much as Randy loved farming, it was his family he treasured most. His wife Vicky and his son Michael were his world. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Vicky Smith, his cherished son Michael Smith. His loving parents, his mother Yvonne Smith and his father Randall C. Smith Sr. and his companion Cindy, his loving siblings, Vaughn, Evan, Donnie and Amanda. His maternal grandmother, Nikki Fentzlaff, his mother-in-law Linda Anema and many cousins, in-laws and family. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Fentzlaff and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Charlotte Smith. And his father-in-law Michael Anema. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday July 27, 2017 from 9-11AM in the field at the Anema Tree Farm 166 Changewater Road, Washington, NJ 07882 Funeral service will be held immediately following at 11:00 on the farm with Rev. Robert J. Criste-Troutman officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with his son Michael's upbringing. Checks payable to Michael E.
