Obituary of Ida M Fallen

Ida Wilcox Fallen, 99, of Hamilton Square, NJ, formerly of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on July 5, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Ida was born on June 11, 1918 in Allamuchy, NJ to the late Mary Wilcox. She resided in Washington, NJ for the majority of her life. Ida was a graduate of Hackettstown High School class of 1936. She attained a degree from Rider School of Business. She met and married the love of her life, John. They were married for 22 years prior to his passing in 1965. Ida was employed as a book keeper for Ford Furniture, Washington Woodcraft, Harold Deremer & Sons, and Warren Volkswagen. She was also employed as a secretary at Washington Memorial Elementary School. Ida was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, NJ, where she was very involved. She was a member of the Changewater Limited Methodist Women and the Washington Woman's Club. Ida's passion was crafting. Throughout her life she avidly crocheted and knitted items for loved ones and kids across the world in need. She also decorated eggs for many of her family and friends' Christmas trees, and recently became involved in decorating rocks for the Hamilton Rock's project. Ida is preceded in death by her husband, John J. Fallen and son, J.Craig Fallen. She is survived by her loving daughter, Marlene Mannion and her husband, James, and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Fallen; her treasured grandchildren: Kerry Sancomb and her husband, Larry; Keith Fallen and his wife, Bryce; Kristen Fallen; Brittany Riese and her husband, Jamie; Erin Flanagan and her husband, Brennan; and Kelsey Mannion and her significant other, William Choy. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Natalie Sancomb-Bonagura, Grayson Sancomb, Lake Fallen, Dalton Riese, Camrie Riese, and Brennan Flanagan Jr. A memorial service celebrating Ida's life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, 40 Church Street, Washington, NJ 07882. Inurnment will immediately follow service at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ida's name to the First Presbyterian Church of Washinton, 40 Church Street, Washington, NJ 07882 or to a charity of one's choice.
