Obituary of James Bush

James "Bob" Bush 86, of Washington Twp formally of Lebanon passed away peacefully on June 23, 2014. Born: on February 7, 1928 in Whitehouse Station to the late Harry and Florence Pidcock Bush Sr. Personal: Bob graduated from Clinton high school class of 1946. He joined the US Navy at the end of WWII and received a Victory medal. With the start of the Korean War Bob was called upon again to serve in the Navy aboard the USS Hall (APD-63). He married is soul mate Phyllis "Hunt" in 1949. Bob worked as a customer service manager for United Telephone and later Sprint for more than 45 years retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons Of New Jersey 6 Host, Tall Cedars Lebanon, Shriners Crescent Temple and the Scottish Rite in Trenton, NJ. He was member of the VFW post 5119 in Glen Gardner and a member of the American Legion Post 131 in Belvidere. Bob was also a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. Survivors: A sister in-law Mary Bush, three nieces Mona Moss, Sheryl Fleming, Debbie Bush, and a brother Harry Bush Jr and his wife Elizabeth. His close friends whom he considered family Don and Louisa Miers. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis in 2011 and a brother Bruce Bush. Services: Friends and family may call on Saturday June 28, 2014 from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated immediately following at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Montana Mountain Cemetery in Harmony.
