Obituary of Michael Joseph McNulty

Michael "Joe" McNulty, 85 of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Joe was born on March 5, 1932 in Scranton, PA. to the late Alice "Tigue" McNulty. Joe graduated from Washington high school class of 1950. He served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. Joe worked as a Telephone linemen for NJ Bell telephone in Stewartsville, NJ for 40 years until his retirement in 1989. Joe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington. His pastimes were hunting and fishing. He enjoyed motorcycles and restoring old farm tractors. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 103. Joe is survived by a daughter Kelly Marie McNulty; 2 sons Michael James McNulty and Michael Joseph Bittner. His longtime companion Ruth Bittner, his Grandchildren and Great grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by a sister Rose Marie McNulty. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday May 19, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Joe's name to St. Joseph Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hill Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ.
