Obituary of Susan D Bodine

Susan D. Bodine, 81, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on March 14, 2017 at Hunterdon Medical Center. Susan was born on August 19, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Dr. Harry and Allie Davis. Susan graduated from Washington High School class of 1953. She married the love of her life Willard Bodine in 1955. After working for several years in private industry, she started her career in public education as a secretary for Brass Castle School and then worked for the superintendent of schools for Warren Hills Regional High School more than 20 years prior to her retirement. Susan was a member of DAR the Peggy Warren Chapter. She enjoyed volunteering and was in charge of gifts for veterans. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling on motorcycle, was an enthusiastic camper and loved traveling by motor home to Maine and Florida. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed fly fishing. Susan loved watching sports, her artwork, the outdoors and having fun with family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years Willard F. Bodine, her loving children, a son Brian Bodine and his wife Jennifer Carmona and a daughter, Beth Ann Stauffer and favorite son in law Douglas C. Stauffer. Her cherished grandchildren Scott D. Stauffer, Lauren Krygoski, Caitlyn Stauffer-Meixsell and Justin Meixsell. also her sister Carol Young. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 1-3 & 5-6:30 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
