Susan and I went to high school together at St. Michael's. We were good friends sharing many great times during our four years, especially as cheerleaders. I am so sadden and pray that God will continue to give her family strength and courage to endure such a loss. We hadn't seen each other since one of the last class reunions and she will missed at our 50th next year. God bless her family and I too, have good memories of Susan. With warmest regards!

To Susan's family, may you be comforted to know that another angel watches over you and your family. I feel blessed that I got to know Susan working at Mars. Like others, I will remember her beautiful smile, her beautiful heart and that joyous laugh of hers. My sincerest condolences to you at this sad time.

From your precious Allie and Marissa, Eric and Amanda who will always look to see you in the night sky as the brightest most beautiful star. They loved sharing each and every milestone with you since their births. Your relationship with them as their grandmother, their Grandma Sue, goes beyond any definition. We will keep you alive through our memories, stories, how the twins talk with your Jersey City accent, our holiday traditions, and countless photographs I took.

Grandma Sue,
We came into your lives at the divine intervention of your beloved husband. He sent us to comfort you, Brad and Todd by bringing Jeff, the kids and myself into your lives. What you must know is that through all of these wonderful years we had together, you healed my brokenness. I always longed for a family that would just accept and love me for me. My own birth mother never gave me the love, support, joy, companionship, friendship, advice, and the genuine care that you have given me, Jeff, and the kids. So while all of these years you thought we were your angels...YOU, my sweet Grandma Sue were mine. I love you so much that it physically hurts to think of my life without you there each day. The days, weeks, and years ahead will be empty without you. So to help me get up each day, I am going to make it my life's mission to help, support, and love Brad, Todd, Liz, and Ang in true Grandma Sue fashion. I will not let you down my angel, I am so grateful to you.
Love you to the moon and back and back again, Ann Marie

I have posted a private condolence, but, there is not enough I can say about her. She was Captain of the cheerleaders at St. Michaels and made my daughter, Meg, the Mascot. My husband Jack & I spent many evenings on Bowers St. with Susan, John, Aunt Della, Mary & Teddy having wonderful times. Mary & Teddy loved her so much. They didn't want her to suffer anymore so they called her home. Rest in Peace Susan. Marianne

To the family: May God comfort you in this time of sadness. Susan was my cousin. We lost touch many years ago, but through the magic of Facebook reconnected a year or so ago. I haven't seen Susan since childhood, but have fond memories of parties at my house and Aunt Eileen's house. Uncle Teddy was my Godfather and I remember him being such a character and good daddy. I'm sure Susan had some of his traits. I can tell by all the pictures and stories that are being posted that Susan was a caring, loving person who put family first in her life. You are all better people for having her in you life. Be blessed and carry your love for her in your heart. With heartfelt sympathy, Gail

I'm from the Cincinnati Mars office and Susan was one of the first people I met from HKT office 14 years ago. Being new she was one of the friendliest people and made me feel welcome....and still did the same every time I saw her 14 years later....always friendly. Will remember her her blue cheese and ketchup combo she made us all try and her Snapple. But most of all her kindness and friendship. Will miss her!!

Dear Susan,
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, " Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away...although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay .
A golden heart stop beating, hard-working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the BEST!!!
Todd, Brad and Family,
Our deepest sympathy. You are in our thoughts and prayers

Susan, you are one of a kind. It is understandable to see how you were so loved by all. You could light up anyone's day with your smile alone. You had a heart bigger than most. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You and John raised 2 wonderful boys, Todd and Brad to be kind souls just as you and John. You both can be proud and finally be together in the Heavens above. The stars will be brighter tonight as you lay in rest. Good night my friend. We love and will miss you. Angela, Connor & Wanda Gunsser ❤️
