Obituary of Cesar J Landaeta
Cesar J. Landaeta, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2016 with his family by his side.
He was born on November 22, 1928 in New York, NY to the late Cesar and Lucy Landaeta.
Cesar graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University and was employed as an Industrial Engineer at Pfizer Biopharmaceutical, retiring in 1990. He proudly served his country as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War. Cesar was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. He dedicated his life as a volunteer. In Florida, at the Thrift Store he established for St. Vincent de Paul Society, he assisted those in need. Cesar wrote children books and was better known as Mr. "C" at Project Head Start in Washington, NJ. He truly loved sketching, swimming and dancing. In his younger years he participated in many dance competitions with his wife whom he has known for the past 75 years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Dorothy, his loving children, daughters, Linda and her husband Wells, Adrienne, and Nancy Ellen and her husband Don, sons, Douglas and his wife Linda and Andrew and his wife Kris. Eight cherished grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, Ali. Additionally, a sister Lucy, a brother Antonio, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and his granddaughter Alessandra.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Sunday (Today), May 29, 2016 from 6-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's church, 327 Greenwich St., Belvidere, NJ 07823
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cesar's name to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Drive, Newton, NJ 07860. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
