Obituary of Ruth A Stephens

Ruth Ann Stephens, 83, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on January 17, 2016. Ruth was born on June 21, 1932 to the late John and Alice Chuddley. She and her husband, Thomas, were married in May 1963. She was employed at Dover Handbag in Netcong, NJ for 30 years prior to her retirement. Ruth enjoyed painting ceramics, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, WWF and fishing with Tom. Most of all she loved her family and treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years Thomas Stephens, loving daughters, Karen Lancaster and her husband Kurt, Ellioda Judith Hickey, Edna Pearson and husband Glenn, Dora Bigham and her husband Joe. Also 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is preceded in death by 2 sons, Daniel and Thomas Jr Stephens and 2 Brothers, Fred and William Chuddley. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home with Pastor James Scovell officiating.
