Obituary of Howard J. Schnorrbusch, Sr.
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and brother, Howard James Schnorrbusch. Sr., 72 of Stewartsville, NJ passed away 3:21 pm on April 6, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital in Easton, Pa. Every time he thought he had beaten one type of cancer another entered his life. Howard fought a valiant battle with two different Cancers the last 3 years of his life.
Howard, 1 of 15 children, born on January 31, 1943 in Colonia, NJ to the late Gladys (nee Bell) and John Schnorrbusch.
When Howard was growing up he had a passion for auto body repair. Therefore, as an adult he worked in his brother-in-law's body shop, Lake's Auto Body Shop of Sewaren.
In September 1971, he and his beloved wife Kathy moved from Cliffwood Beach to New Village. They became the founders/co-owners of H&K Auto Body and a wrecker service to serve the community of Warren County. Howard mentored his son's to follow in his footsteps. All 3 sons today, either manage or own shops. When he wasn't working he loved to go fishing on the weekends and spend time in Florida at his winter home. No matter when Howard was taking time away from work, he always made the time and effort to share his vacations with his grandchildren.
Survives: beloved wife of 47 years Kathy (nee McDougall), 7 loving children Howard Jr., Denise, Donna, David, Shannon, Eric and Katie. 18 cherished grandchildren, David, Nathan, Mark, Velvet Ann, Nick, Alan, Isabella, Katrina, Shari, Samantha, Darren, Haley, Tyler, Autumn, Mitchell, Ethan, Mia and Louis and 7 great grandchildren. His sisters Jeannie, Gladys, Peanut, Cookie,Linda and Janet and his brothers Robbie, Ronald, Dennis, Ritchie, Wesley and Russell. Howard was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Johnny and Brian and a granddaughter Brittany (February 11, 1996)
Services: Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be Friday 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a religious service 10:30AM conducted by Rev. John Kleist at the funeral home. Entombment will be conducted at Holy Apostle Mausoleum in Greenwick Township, NJ.
