Obituary of Michael Leash

BELVIDERE- Michael Leash, Jr., entered eternal life on April 3, 2015 at home. He was born on July 2, 1940 to the late Nadel and Michael Leash, Sr. in Elizabeth, NJ. He resided in Elizabeth, Linden and Hillsborough before moving to Belvidere a year ago. Michael graduated Jefferson High School in Elizabeth and in 1959 married his High School "Sweet Heart" Helga Schmitt. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Linden Hunting and Fishing Club. He is survived by his beloved wife Helga Leash, loving daughters Deborah Scarpitto and son in law Nicholas of Washington, NJ and Jennifer Leash of Oxford, NJ. Cherished granddaughters Giana and Grace of Oxford. He is predeceased by his son Michael D. Leash. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015, 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial is private.
