Obituary of Emma Feenstra

Emma Feenstra 95, formerly of Washington, NJ passed peacefully into Glory on December 25, 2014 at her home in Williams Township, PA. Born on September 7, 1919 in Parrega, Netherlands to the late Hylke and Aaltje Bleeker. Emma was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, and beloved grandmother/Beppe. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. Most important to her was her belief in Jesus Christ and she served Him faithfully through the years. She was a member of the Baptist Church and most recently attended Calvary Baptist Church in Easton, Pa. She is survived by four daughters, Doris Julian and her husband Gus, Betty Lyons, Sue DiRisio and her husband Ray, and Theresa Barlow and her husband Roger; two sons, Nicholas Feenstra and his wife Kaye, and Steven Feenstra and his wife Leslie; a sister Piet Attema; a son-in-law Robert Butler, 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell Feenstra in 1996, a daughter Alice Butler, a grandson Scott Lyons and a son-in-law Robert Lyons. Friends and family may call on Monday December 29, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 24 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM with a one hour visitation at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Phillipsburg, 810 Red School Lane, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. Memorial donations may be made in Emma's name to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 5300 Green Pond Rd, Easton, PA 18045.
