Obituary of Olive Mohammed
WASHINGTON, NJ- Olive Mohammed, 76, passed away on December 10, 2014. She was born to the late Sumintra and Joseph Alexander Rajkumar on February 17, 1938 in Trinidad.
Olive resided most of her life in Trinidad, before moving to the United States in 1998. She was employed as a Post Mistress in Trinidad, retiring in 1989. Olive was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, NJ. She will remembered as a woman who enjoyed singing and cooking. She also had a flair for gardening and had “2 green thumbs”. Olive was a kind and gentle woman with an outgoing personality. She laughed a lot and will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved children, son, Fareed Mohammed and wife Ann, daughters Farida Hosein and Fameeda Ali and husband Azard; cherished grandchildren Imran, Marisa, Renisha, Jared, Brandon, Gigi and Nicholas; loving sister Lena Fermani and 2 brothers Krishna and Pindar Rajkumar. She is predeceased by her husband Abdool Jabaar Mohammed who died in 1973, her parents, 2 sisters Ruby and Doris and 2 brothers Henry and John.
Funeral services will be Saturday December 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington, 40 East Church Street, Washington, NJ 07882 with Pastor James Scovell officiating. Burial will be private.
