Dawnie Blue Berrie…..we shared a wonderful experience. You lived for your friends. You and your Mother "Millie Mom" will forever be in my heart. If I seemed tuff on you at times it is only because I never wanted you to give in to the beast and give up your fight. You will always be loved. Gone for now but never forgotten. Xo Peppy

Jill and I are deeply upset to hear about Dawn. Dawn and I worked closely together for 6 years from 1989 and I look back at that time in Oyster Bay and Glen Cove with the fondest memories. Dawn was always up beat regardless of the work challenges and capable dealing with them - she was vibrant, fun-loving but genuinely supportive to her friends and colleagues. Although we moved back to the UK I would see Dawn occasionally at conventions (or parties at E3) and she always remained the same fun Dawn!
We would like to pass on our condolences to all of Dawn's friends and family. She will be sorely missed.

Thought of this Dave Matthews lyric for you Dawn.........
You will rest your head, your strength once saving.
And when you wake you will fly away,
holding tight to the legs of all your angels.
Goodbye my love, into your blue, blue eyes,
in your blue, blue world, you and me forever.
Your old Acclaim friend.........Gail

Just over a year ago, Dawn friended me on facebook as a result of music. Something we both loved. At the time, I was coming to terms with having laryngeal cancer. Without waiver, she gave me encouragement, without falter she rose above her own pain to give me strength. Without a second thought she gave me friendship and kindness. Last October I gladly welcomed her to my home so that she could visit Sea Cliff again, a place she loved. Attending mini-mart and seeing her long time friends. It was an event she hoped to see again and one I always thought she would... While my heart breaks for the loss of such a beautiful soul, I am glad I was able to help her have those moments. The world will be a lonelier place with your passing. May you have peace at last from the pain you put aside for the benefit of others.. xoxo ♥♥♥

A special light has certainly gone out in the lives of Dawn's family and friends.
My deepest sympathy to you all.
It's been many years since we worked together, but our paths did manage to cross (although infrequently) during that time and I have to say that no matter how many years passed between meetings, Dawn was always the same. She'd greet you with a smile that wouldn't quit, along with an obvious passion for life and an undeniable sense of exuberance.
Those of us who knew her (either now or then or for whatever period of time) are blessed and thankful for having had the opportunity.

To Mr and Mrs. Berrie, Ray and all of Dawn's family and friends, I want to let you know how sad I was to here of Dawn's passing. She and I used to spend time together in the eighties in Sea Cliff, dancing til dawn. She lit up a room. In the last few years, we've been in touch on facebook, and her beautiful spirit shown through, always. My brother John, a friend of Ray's, also sends his condolences.
sincerely,
Jenna Kern

My dear friend Dawn. You will be so missed. In my heart, I can't believe you are gone. From the instant we met 20 years ago, we were friends. You made me laugh, you made me cry - mostly you made me cry from laughing so hard! Your beautiful light and spirit is with the Creator now and your work here is done. Rest in Peace. There is a new angel to help light up heaven. But you will be very missed here on earth. Please watch over us. Love and prayers to your family. I will always remember you smiling and dancing.

My deepest sympathies to Dawn’s family. I had the pleasure of knowing Dawn for 20 years and working with her at three different companies. I will always remember her spirit and laugh - she was so much fun to be around and could light up a room. She will be missed by all who knew her.

My deepest sympathies to Dawn's family. Dawn embodied such an effervescent joy for life that her passing makes the world a dimmer place. I will remember her fondly and do so always with a smile. Heaven's Birthday Thursdays just got a whole lot more fun.

The characterization of Dawn as someone who "lit up a room" is absolutely how I will always remember her. With her big smile and upbeat personality, she exuded warmth and was one of those people who made you feel good just to be around.
While her medical struggles these past years were painful to observe even at a distance and in my case mostly through Facebook, she truly is a woman to be celebrated with the great joy she brought all those who knew her.

My deepest condolences to Dawn's whole family. I met Dawn in 73 or 74, and we became friends almost immediately. But it was July 4th that I'll always remember. That's when I pulled her out of the path of of an out of control car. She was still run over, but at least her head wasn't run over. I think she tried to make the most out of her life after that, and she did a good job!

My deepest condolences to Dawn's family and other friends who will miss her. Dawn was a bright light in this world and in my life. We came to know each other more than 20 years ago, worked closely together at Acclaim, GT Interactive and Uproar, and she was a friend whom I loved. With her go, go, go zeal for life, we often laughed so hard together, we cried. Along with her beauty and bold spirit, these are the memories of Dawn I will cherish.
