Obituary of Delbert E. Frutchey
Delbert E. Frutchey, Sr., 79, of Washington, NJ died peacefully Friday August 17, 2007 at Warren Hospital.
Born: January 8, 1928 in Mt. Bethel, Pa., he was a son of the late Isaac and Susan Frutchey.
Personal: He and his loving wife, Dorothy, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on July 15. Delbert was a farmer all his life. He farmed for Joe Banghart and Skip Smith. He continued to help his best friend Skip, even after his retirement in 2006. Delbert was very active until he was recently diagnosed with cancer. He lived in Washington for the past 12 years, having moved from Belvidere and New Village, NJ. Delbert served in the Army from 1948-1949. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memberships: He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors: In addition to his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Carol Speciale and her husband Don of Wilson Borough, Donna Graham of Corpus Christi, Texas and Brenda Gerhat and her husband Steve of Jim Thorpe, Pa.; a brother, Paul; three sisters, Helen, Hilda and Evelyn; six grandchildren, Linda, Joshua, Heather, Leslie, Stephanie and Brandon; and a soon to be great-granddaughter. He was predeceased by a son Delbert Jr., a daughter Linda, a brother Kenny, and sisters Gracie and Eleanor.
Services: Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882, followed by funeral services at noon with Pastor James Scovell officiating. Burial will be in Montana Mountain Cemetery, Harmony. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Frutchey family, c/o the funeral home.
