Dominick L Anastasio, 68, of Lopatcong Twp, NJ died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 31, 2007.
Born: March 22, 1939 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late Pasquale and Adele Anastasio.
Personal: He and his wife, Josephine were married for 48 years. Dominick was a heavy equipment operator for Local 825 Operating Engineers, Little Falls, NJ for 40 years, retiring in 2002. He graduated from Arts HS, class of 1957. Dominick served proudly in the Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dominick loved collecting antique cars. Buying & selling real estate & collecting coins. He especially enjoyed family time. He previously lived in Washington and White Twp., NJ and Melbourne, Fla.
Memberships: He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington. Survivors: His loving wife Josephine; three sons, Charles of Lopatcong, Richard & his wife Laura of Asbury, Ronald & his wife Nasi of Washington; three brothers, Paul, Oresto & Pasquale; two sisters, Lucille Lombardino & Nancy Anastasio all of Florida; eight grandchildren Stacie, Shaun, Adam, Cara, Samantha, Zachary, Dylan & Jessica. His Poodle companion Bear.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Blaise Baran officiating in the church, 200 Carlton Avenue, Washington, NJ. Entombment will be in Holy Apostle's Mausoleum in Ss. Philip and James Cemetery, Greenwich Twp, NJ. Call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
