Obituary of Harold G. Cole

Harold "Colie" Cole 92 a lifelong resident of Washington passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side. Born: in the family home on Rush Ave in Washington on June 3, 1922 to the late Arch and Helen "Rush" Cole Personal: Harold graduated from Washington high school class of 1940. He married the love of his life Frances "Backenstoe" Wickert" on November 29, 1958 with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. Harold worked as a designer and pattern cutter for the Washington Manufacturing Co and Elco Hemming & Leacock Co in Washington for more than 60 years, retiring in 1987. He was an avid outdoorsmen who loved hunting, fishing and coon hunting with hounds. he enjoyed bowling, woodworking loved to joke and make people laugh, Survivors: wife loving wife Frances; a niece Nancy Noel and her husband John; a great niece Heather DiRisio, a great nephew Ryan Noel and a godson Peter Rush and many cousins. A sister Doris Hoffman preceded Harold in death. Services: friends and family may call on Friday July 11, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor James Scovell officiating. Interment will follow at Montana Mountain Cemetery in Harmony, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warren Hills Memorial Home.
