Obituary of Aurelia Walsh

Aurelia McGough Walsh, 90, of Washington, N.J., died Thursday at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, N.J. Born July 15, 1917, daughter of the late Stanley and Sarah Jukausky, she was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1934. She had previously lived in Kearny, N.J., and Waymart. Aurelia was employed for 23 years as a nurse at West Husdon Hospital, Kearny, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Washington, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Bible study group. Aurelia was a great singer. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Waymart. Surviving are two sons, John McGough and wife, Diane, Cinnaminson, N.J.; and Michael McGough and wife, Paula, Rumson, N.J.; a son-in-law, Thomas Conolly, Washington; five grandchildren, Sean, Scott, Colleen, Michael and Renee; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah and Ian. The funeral will be Wednesday with Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J. Friends may call Tuesday, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
