Dear Wiseburn Family, I will miss your mother keenly. After growing up down the road and playing with Karen, it was a pleasure to come back to Washington and enter into an adult relationship with her. Joan was full of life and that is how I'll remember her. Kelley (Dixon) Teabo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Joan was a very nice fun loving lady. She sure will be missed by all that have gotten to share life with her. John & Marian Abbott

Joan was my mother (Ann Burd's) BEST FRIEND....I will never forget all the wonderful things we did together as families. They were always there for one another. She taught my mother how to drive and took her around the circle that was at the intersection of 57 and 31. My mom would always tell me that story. When my husband and I visited Joan in the Care Center she was her lively self. I was sitting in her wheelchair and told her this was comfortable she told me to "take the damn thing home" - typically Joan. I was in shock when I heard the news of her passing. May god bless Gary and Karen - and you are in my thoughts. Love LuAnn and Joe Thank you, LuAnn Jankowski Ext. 3663

Dear Gary & Karen, I am still in Florida but Dale and my daughter, Cindy, kept me up to date on Joan. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. When I last saw her before Christmas, I really thought things were going well. She was her usual feisty self with her jokes and remarks. She was a good friend and I will remember her that way. My love and prayers to you and your family. Phyllis Burd.

Dear Gary, Karen, and Families. Please accept our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mom. She was a very special person and our memories go back with her when the Walnut Grove in Great Meadows was run by the Weber Family. We even remember working at the clam bakes with her. Later in years we would see her at Warren Hills High School when our three children were going there. She was a lady with much strength and lots of humor. We are sure you will miss her but how lucky you are that you have so many beautiful memories to keep forever. Both faith and time will help the great pain you are feeling now. Both our parents are gone but we know they are in a special place watching over us. Sure your mom has joined them. You are in our prayers and especially your mom and dad. Aunt Ann always keeps us updated on you. She too is a remarkable lady. Love, Eileen (Johnson) and Jim Mattison
