Dear Barciks, relatives and numerous friends, In the short time Jeremy and I spent together while he awesomely tiled our new bathroom (at that time not aware of the numerous other very cool things he was into, great at and took pride in) I realized just how wonderful and gifted a young man he was. Dude, you left behind volumes that speak for themselves and will always be remembered. I recently learned the incredible friendship, fellowship and following he enjoyed and appreciated with others, Jeremy was one very lucky guy. His Dad Frank, Mom Colleen and myself went to high school together and Frank and I grew-up as kids. We were best friends, blood brothers and butt kickers. Imagine, they even chose as Godfather for Jeremy's bro Jesse! (What were you two thinking...) Our heartfelt syphathy, thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Barcik Family and all who admired Jeremy. Honestly, no words can express our sorrow and emotions for your loss. Jeremy will truly be missed. Hold onto the memories and remember, one day we'll all see him again, Don Jr., Deb, Amanda, Olivia and Emily Mayberry. (Belvidere, NJ) P. S. - Jeremy, knowing the expert tile installer you are, on your way, I know you tiled those steps in gold. The Stairway to Heaven I mean...
Don Mayberry Jr.

Colleen, My mom was given this poem when my brother died. I thought I would share it with you.
I'll lend you, for a little while, a child of mine." He said.
"For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty two or three.
But will you, til I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, as all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers true
And from the thongs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love - not think the labor in vain.
Nor hate me when I come to call to take him back again."
I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joy this child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shower him with tenderness and love him while we may
And for the happiness we've known , forever grateful stay.
And should the angels call for him much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."
