Obituary of Edward Farrell

Edward Farrell, 90, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2009 , at Treasure Coast Hospice, Stewart, FL. Born: On September 11, 1919, in Dunellen, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Rebecca Farrell. Personal: He lived in Hobe Sound, FL. Previously of Washington, Dunellen, North Plainfield & Basking Ridge, NJ. Edward was a Research Engineer for Johns Manville CO. Later in his life he was Sales Manager for ASARCO, over seeing operations in North and South America, for 37 years. Edward earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Management Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. Edward served proudly in the Navy during World War II, in the Pacific theater of operations. Edward enjoyed Golf. Memberships: He a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Washington. Survivors: His loving wife of 21 years Imogene "Bugge"; three daughters, Susan Farrell of Alaska, Sharon Ball and her husband Edward of Forestburgh, NY, Lisa Woodis and her husband Mark of Avon, CT; four grandchildren, Meghan, Jessica, Kristine and Sarah. He is also survived by his extended family: Step children Jeffery Bugge, Cynthia Carlson and Melissa Watters. 8 step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his 1st wife Elsie, a Daughter Kathleen, two brothers, Jack and Richard, a sister Deborah Parkinson all passed away earlier. Services: Visitation will be Sunday September 20, 2009 , 7 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 West Washington Ave, Washington, 07882. Funeral services will be Monday September 21, 2009 , at 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial with Father Blaise Baran Officiating, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, 07882. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge, NJ. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street; Stuart, Florida 34997.
