Obituary of Virginia C. Steele

Virginia C. Steele, 81 of Williams Twp, PA formally of Broadway, NJ. passed away peacefully on Saturday January 11, 2014. Born: Virginia was born in Belvidere, NJ on August 28, 1932 to the late Earl and Eva Learn. Personal: Virginia graduated from Belvidere high school class of 1950. She owned and operated the Stage Coach Saddle Shop in Broadway, NJ she retired as a home health aid for Warren County Visiting Nurses. Her loving husband Joseph M. Steele Jr. passed away in 2011. Virginia was a volunteer for the Warren County Board of Elections and was a familiar face at the Franklin Township polls. She was a former member of the NJ Appaloosa Association. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles bluebirds and gardening. She was happiest playing in the dirt and doing for others. Survivors: three sons Joseph M. Steele III of Mt. Bethel, PA, Allen L. Steele and his wife Nancy of Washington, NJ and Jay R. Steele and his wife Chi Chi of La Russell, MO; A daughter Bonnie M. Conklin and her husband Jack of Easton, PA; Two Brothers Raymond Learn and Roger Learn; Seven grandchildren Joshua, Dustin, Austin, Landon, Cody, Allison and Amanda; two Great Grandchildren Lainey and Aubrey. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph and a brother Richard Learn. Services: Friends and family may call on Thursday January 16, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends and family may call on Friday at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Montana Mountain Cemetery, Harmony, NJ. Memorials: Donations may be made in Virginia's name to St. John's Church Morgan Hill, 2720 Morgan Hill Rd, Easton, PA 18042.
