Obituary of Rose T. Edolo

Rose Theresa Edolo, 71, of Washington, NJ, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in VNA of St. Luke's Hospicel. Born: On February 7, 1936 in Port Murray, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Clement and Josephine Convenio Edolo. Personal: A lifelong resident of Washington, NJ, she graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1954 and was class officer, typing editor for the yearbook and was chairperson for many class reunions. Rose retired in 1995 as an accounting clerk with Comcast Cable Co. in Port Murray, NJ. She had previously been employed at Northern Dyeing Corp. in Washington, NJ as a billing clerk and the New Jersey State Department of Transportation in Trenton as a principal audit clerk. Memberships: Rose was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, serving as Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer for Warren County Meals on Wheels. Survivors: She is survived by two sisters, Julia O'Connor of Middletown, NY and Nellie Sbriscia of Phillipsburg, NJ; four brothers, Anthony of Washington, Carl and Joseph, both of Phillipsburg and Frank of Palmer Township, and many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins. Three brothers, John, Patrick and Nicholas and two sisters, Santa Edolo and Marie Leggio, all died earlier. Services: Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in the church, 200 Carlton Avenue, Washington, NJ with Fr. Blaise Baran officiating.
