Obituary of Richard A Rush

Richard A. Rush, 40, of Port Murray, NJ, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in Newark, NJ. Born: On August 27, 1966 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of Betty Rush of Port Murray, NJ, and the late Gerald Rush, who died in 1985. Personal: A lifelong resident of Port Murray, Rich was employed as a construction worker with the Masons Union Jersey City. Earlier in his life, he worked for Dimaio Construction in Hackettstown, NJ. Rich graduated from Warren Hill High School, Class of 195 and was a teen challenge graduate. He loved contemporary music, and was quite a talented musician, playing guitar and writing his own music from a very early age. His music took him from Nashville to New York City and beyond. Memberships: He attended the Flynn Fellowship House in Jersey City. Survivors: In addition to his loving mother, Betty, he is survived by two brothers, Gerald and his wife Lori of Flemington, NJ and Anthony and his wife Gillian of Washington, NJ; a sister, Linda Marcera; a brother-in-law Ricky Marcera, both of Orangeville, Pa; a niece, Allissa, and a nephew, Christopher. Services: Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Warren Hills/Ford Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Les Kleffman officiating at the United Methodist Church of Washington, 116 East Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
