Obituary of James R. Bestrain

James R. Bestrain, 56, of Hope, NJ, passed away on April 20, 2009 , in Barn Hill Care Center, Newton, NJ. Born: February 27, 19 53, in Somerville, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Verna Bestrain. Personal: He resided in Hope, NJ for 26 years, prior to that he lived in Changewater, NJ. Jim was a self employed stone mason, Bestrain Construction, for 35 years. Jim enjoyed restoring classic cars, He was a member of the West Jersey Wheelmen. He was also talented with Ornamental Ironwork. Memberships: Jim attended the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. He was a past member of the Lebanon Township Fire Department. Survivors: His loving wife of 37 years Jacquelyn; daughter, Sarah Voigt and her husband Kenneth Jr. of Idaho; son, Justin of Hampton, three sisters, Margaret Bestrain of VA, Susan Clark of SC. Karen Smith of Carlisle, PA; a granddaughter Alyssa Voigt. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Douglas. Services: Visitation will be Saturday, April 25, 2009 , at 9 a.m. until time of service, at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. William "Tex" Culton officiating, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
