Obituary of Edward G. Rokose

Edward G. Rokose, 68, of Franklin Twp., passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2012. Born: December 15, 1943 in Avenel, NJ, son of the late Edward F. and Pauline Rokose. Personal: He lived in Franklin Twp. for 20 years, previously he lived in Edison and Avenel, NJ. Ed worked as a welder for many years for General Dynamics Corp in Avenel, NJ, retiring in 2005. Ed graduated from Woodbridge High School, class of 1961. He served proudly in the US Air force during the Vietnam War. Ed enjoyed cooking and he loved listening to and collecting Doo Wop and Motown music. Survivors: His devoted wife of 45 years, Nancy; a daughter, Wendy Rokose of NY, NY; two sons, Lee Rokose and his wife Tammy and Edward W. Rokose both of NC; two sisters, Ruth Sloben and Susan Caruso; a grandson, Daniel Rokose. He was predeceased by a sister, Jane M. Jacobs. Services: Family will receive friends and family on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2 p.m., a Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tim Hoff officiating, at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will be private. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rokose family c/o the funeral home.
