Gerald P. Della Monica, 91, of the Brookfield section of Belvidere , died Friday, July 6, 2007 , in Warren Hospital . Born: December 12, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Joseph and Caroline Della Monica. Personal: He and his loving wife, Josephine, were married 65 years. He was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, having lived in Belvidere only a short time. Gerald was a winemaker and was the owner and operator of Delmonico's in Brooklyn. He worked for 70 years, retiring in 2004. He graduated high school in Brooklyn. He served in the Army during World War II. Gerald was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was very dedicated to his work. Memberships: He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Brooklyn. Survivors: His loving wife; a daughter, Anne Marie MacIntyre and her husband, Bill, of Washington; a sister, Jeannette Tito and her husband, Sal, of Conn.; a grandson, Justin; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Carolyn, died earlier. Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Peace, 522 Carroll St. , Brooklyn . Visitation will be held 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Warren Hills / Ford Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. , Washington . Entombment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Queens, N.Y. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, to American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, NJ 07054 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
