Obituary of Gordon Wallace

Gordon W. Wallace, 73, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024 at his home. Gordon was born on January 22, 1951 in Montclair, NJ to Wheatley and Patricia Wallace. He was a graduate of Montclair High School. Gordon proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He married the love of his life Joanne (maiden name : Petrillo) and together celebrated 49 years of marriage. Gordon was a self-employed General Contractor, building custom homes and custom bathrooms. He retired in 2015. He was the President of the NJ Vipers Club. He was a certified helicopter pilot, a ski instructor in Killington, VT., and a committed student of the Skip Barber School of Racing. He enjoyed photography, loved animals of all kinds – especially around his property and a lover of all things architectural. Above all he loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Gordon is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Joanne Wallace, his caring siblings; Patricia Suleski, Barbara Sellick, Sidney Wallace and his wife Karen, Sandra Wilson and her husband Edward. He also leaves behind his loving mother Patricia and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father Wheatley Wallace and his In-laws, John and Mary Jo Petrillo Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday March 4, 2024 from 10 AM-12 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 0782. Funeral service celebrating Gordon's life will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Entombment will be held privately at Somerset Hills Mausoleum.
