Obituary of Roger E Fournier

Roger E. Fournier, 77 of Washington Township, NJ passed away suddenly at his home on December 22, 2023. Roger was born on February 28, 1946 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Roger R. and Mildred Kinney Fournier. Roger graduated from Washington High School class of 1964. He also graduated from Churchman's Business School in Easton. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Dyke College in Cleveland, OH. He served in the National Guard for eight years. Roger was employed as an accountant for Peter Kowalick CPA for more than 35 years before his retirement in 2010. He was a long time parishioner of the United Methodist Church of Washington where he volunteered much of his time as an usher and on the finance committee. He was always willing to help others whenever help was needed. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii. Roger also enjoyed baking, he would always share his pies and cakes with his family throughout the year. Roger was also an avid reader. Roger is survived by a brother, Raymond Fournier; his nephews, Michael Fournier (Linda), Mark Fournier (Fiona) and Christopher Fournier. He was also survived by many great nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents Roger was preceded in death by a sister In-law Linda Fournier. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday December 29, 2023 from 10AM – 12PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton.
