Obituary of Bruce S Castner Jr.

Bruce S. Castner Jr., 61, of North Charleston, SC and previously of Warren County, NJ passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home in North Charleston, SC. Bruce was born on June 1, 1962 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late Bruce S. Castner Sr and Margaret Castner (nee. Post). Bruce lived in South Carolina for many years after his travels with the military. He was a Navy Veteran and a Plank owner of the USS Lewis B. Puller, where he started his plumbing career. Bruce is survived by his son, James R. Castner and daughter, Theresa M. (Castner) Fennelly along with two grandsons; Nathaniel and Gabriel. He has a sister Dorothy Hildebrant of North Myrtle Beach, SC, a step sister Willie Sullivan of Phillipsburg, NJ. Along with many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his brother George Castner. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM for a graveside memorial service located at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, 78 Valley Road, Hampton, NJ 08827.
