Obituary of James S. Vaughn

James S. Vaughn, 86, of Belvidere, NJ passed away on September 9, 2023 at Monroe County Hospice House, Stroudsburg, PA. James was born on August 25, 1937 in Tennessee to the late Thurman and Maxine Vaughn. Jim served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver for over 25 years for Carobella Construction before retiring in 2010. Jim was a proud member of the Belvidere American Legion Post 131. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Dale Earhart Sr., was his favorite driver. James is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sara and their children Dawn DeVries and her companion Helen Krum and John DeVries and his wife Amy. He also leaves behind his brother, Wallace Vaughn and a niece, Karen Vaughn and a nephew, Ronald Vaughn. Jim is also survived by his African Grey Parrott, Taco. All funeral services at this time have been made private at the family's requests.
