Obituary of Karen J. Bendel

Karen J. Bendel, 60 of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Lopatcong Care Center on Sunday February 9, 2014. Born: Karen was born on February 5, 1954 in Bremerton, WA to the late Louis and Catherine Aycock and raised lovingly by the late Edward Hibsch. Personal: Karen graduated from Lakewood high school in Lakewood, California class of 1972. Karen and her husband Alan were married in 1978 in Long Beach, CA. Karen was employed for more than seventeen years in different capacities at QuickChek in Washington, but most would remember her friendly smile working as the Pharmacy Technician and HABA Manager. She was a huge Notre Dame Football fan and was proud to have attended many games. Karen enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. She loved going to concerts. Above all, family was most important to Karen and her grandchildren were her life. Survivors: Karen is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Alan Bendel; three caring sons Robert Fiesler of Costa Mesa, CA, David Bendel and his wife Traci of Independence, NJ and Brian Bendel and his wife Stephanieof West Easton, PA; two sisters Glenda McHale of Stanton, CA and Cassie Moffett of Long Beach, CA; three grandchildren Abigail, Sophia and Jonathan. Services: Due to inclement weather the services for Karen Bendel have been postponed. Friends and family may call on Friday February 14, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
