Obituary of John E Frisbie

John "Jack" Frisbie, 92 of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Jack was born on February 18, 1930 in Scranton, PA to the late Ralph E. and Mildred S. "Baker" Frisbie. He was raised by his beloved step mother Anna Mary Frisbie. Jack proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was trained as a medical technician and served in Aerial Supply personnel. After the War, Jack made his home in the Washington NJ area and married his soulmate Joan A. Becker in 1954. He was employed as a salesman for Arctic Foods and A&A Country Butchers where he started a credit company BBC for his customers. He retired in 1994. He was a member of the White Township American Legion Post 528 and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Oxford. Jack was an innovative person who enjoyed all the new cutting edge technologies. He built his own plane and taught himself how to fly. He loved music, played the harmonica and sang in the church choir. Jack was also an avid reader and loved solving puzzles. He enjoyed boating, fishing, quoits and playing Gin with his wife. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Joan; daughters, Patricia Hodson and her husband John, Joan Marie Frisbie, Kathleen Keck and her husband Tom and Linda Hagan and her husband Ken; a son, Anthony Frisbie and his wife Karen; a sister, Nancy Lucke; a daughter in-law, Wanda Frisbie and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by 2 sons, John C. Frisbie, Russell Frisbie and sisters Donna Pica and Jean Rogers. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday February 2, 2023 from 4-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. 85 Academy St. Oxford, NJ 07863.
