Obituary of Michael Paul Wojtowicz

Michael P. Wojtowicz, 80, of Washington, NJ passed away on July 19, 2022 at Lopatcong Care Center. Michael was born on June 14, 1942 in New York, NY to the late Victor and Rose Wojtowicz. He was a graduate of Chelsea Vocational school in NY and worked 35 years as a crane operator at Harris Structural Steel in Piscataway, NJ before his retirement in 2002. Michael enjoyed hunting and was a Life Scout in Boy Scouts of America and inducted into "Order of the Arrow". He enjoyed watching the History Channel, WWII movies, Westerns and anything with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Catherine, and their children; Christopher Wojtowicz and his wife Christina; Theresa McLaughlin and her husband Jim; Rose Dopsovic and her husband Dan; Marie Vargas and her husband Carlos. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; Alex and Elise Wojtowicz, Eleni Frank, Athena Richardson, Kelly, John, and Jimmy McLaughlin, Luke and Kara Dopsovic, Lexi, Amalia, Josephina and Serafina Vargas. Michael is also survived by his siblings; Anne Wanamaker, John, Leonard, Thomas, Victor and his wife Donna, Rosemary Mrock, Victoria Palozzola and her husband Robert, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brothers; Stephen, Peter and Joseph and his brother in laws; John Wanamaker and Glen Mrock, and sister in laws; Mary and Barbara Wojtowicz. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday July 25, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A mass of Catholic burial will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Washington, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Michaels name to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882.
