Obituary of Lorraine T Tamashausky

Lorraine T. Tamashausky, 73, of White Township passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia PA on July 10, 2022. Lorraine was born on October 22, 1948 in Newark, NJ to the late Albert and Lorraine "Attanasio" Tamashausky. She graduated from Union High School class of 1966. She married her soulmate George P. Coyle in 1979. She earned her nursing degree from Warren County Community College. Lorraine was employed as a RN for The Doctors In, in Clinton, NJ, and for Warren County Corrections. She retired from St Luke's Warren Hospital as an Emergency room nurse in 2021. She was one of many dedicated healthcare workers that risked their own safety to care for others through the Covid pandemic. One of Lorraine's strengths as a nurse was to educate, lecture and share life lessons to her patients. Lorraine was a past member of the Franklin Township Rescue Squad. Lorraine had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and was a bit quirky. She loved the exchange of ideas but in the end she was always right. Lorraine can best be described as passionate, kind, generous, honest, trustworthy, loyal and an animal lover/advocate . She was an avid reader and loved classic movies and had a fixation with murder watching "ID" channel. Lorraine loved all music and dancing. Her favorite vacation destination was Disney World and a believer in all things "magical". Lorraine's favorite thing to do was to take walks in the woods with her trusted sidekick Butterscotch "Krimpet". Lorraine was content to live a modest private life, enjoying the beauty and serenity of her property atop Montana Mountain, White Township NJ. Two of Loraine's female role models were Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Eleanor Roosevelt. In addition to her loving husband of 42 years George P. Coyle. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Lorraine "Toots" Holub; her brother Albert Tamashausky and his wife Dorothy Rae; her grandson Jourdan "Monkey Face" Holub, Melissa Priebe, and of course THE DOGS her "Baby girl" Butterscotch, and grandpuppies "Bubba" Chi and Marvel. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday July 15, 2022 from 5-8 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A funeral service celebrating Lorraine's life will begin at 8:00 PM at the funeral Home. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lorraine's name to a local animal shelter OR American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 110 W. Laurel Ave, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
