Obituary of Dan Kristoffersen
Dan V. Kristoffersen, 64, of Harmony, NJ passed away at home on Monday, June 27, 2022, following a long-term illness. Dan was born in East Orange, NJ on July 8, 1957 to the late Anders and Ebba (Knudsen) Kristoffersen. He graduated from Livingston High School, class of 1976. Dan married his teenage sweetheart and soulmate Bonnie Brink in October of 1977. They moved from W. Orange to Harmony Township, NJ in 1996 to the farm he loved. Dan was a master of trades, a man who could fabricate or fix anything and loved tinkering on his many projects. He proudly worked for the family business, Kristoffersen Hardwood Flooring, LLC and was a skilled auto mechanic at Port Murray Auto Sales until his retirement in 2009. Dan was a past member and caretaker of the Eagle Rock Lutheran Brethren Church for over 20 years and a current member of the Mount Bethel Church in Mount Bethel, PA. He was also a member of the Market Street Mission, Harvey Cedars Bible Conference and current Board Member for the Kawannah Missions. Dan was called the "Horse Whisperer", he loved riding and training horses and all aspects farm life. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who shared many memories of camping, fishing, hiking trips and Boy Scouts. Dan was a man of great integrity and unfaltering faith, he led by example and was a respite for all who needed a genuine, loving ear, grounded advice or just a shoulder to lean on. Dan had a great sense of humor and was very proud of his Danish heritage and culture, which he instilled in his children and grandchildren. Dan was a man who loved the Lord and he loved his family; all who knew him were welcomed and considered part of the Kristoffersens. Dan was a prayer warrior, patriarch and cornerstone to many and will be greatly missed.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie; three children, Mikael Kristoffersen (Heather), Britta Cundiff (Jordan) and Anna Kristoffersen; sisters, Tove Nilsen (Allan) and Britta Holvik (Kenneth); four grandchildren, whom he was greatly proud of, Dan Kristoffersen, his namesake, and Anders, Nikolai and Arabella Cundiff; brothers in-law Jack Brink (Greta), Anthony Colombraro and Louis Mitschele; sisters in-laws Carol Mitschele, Jodi Adams (James) and Deborah Cassimore. Dan is also survived by two aunts, Karen Rossen and Anne Cramer, many cousins, nieces, nephews and one great-nephew, all whom he loved dearly.
Dan is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Karen Colombraro, and brother-in-law William Brink.
