Obituary of George O. Cook

George O. Cook Jr., 86, of Forks Township, PA passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side June 21, 2022. George was born on October 29, 1935 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late George O Cook Sr. and Shirley "Behre" Cook. He graduated from North Hunterdon High School in 1953. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He then went on to marry his loving wife in 1957. He worked as Project Manager for Research Cottrell and went on to retire in 1990. George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, spending time with his family and the occasional joke. He leaves behind his legacy of 4 generations with love and pride. George is survived by his loving daughter Jody Ann Dodge; brother William Cook and his wife Jane; granddaughters Lauren Vilade and husband James, Kelly Barry and husband Kevin, Ashley Bardyszewski and husband Richard, and grandson Frank Black and wife Kristina; great granddaughters Emmerson Katherine Vilade and Elliot Irene Vilade as well as great grandchildren Izzi, Paige and Gavin Barry; son-in-law Michael Hyland and many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Judy K. Cook, youngest daughter Rosemarie Hyland, sisters Doris Fisher and Bette Dewitte and brother, Robert Cook. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday June 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ07882. A service celebrating George's life will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 PM.
