Obituary of Anthony Boutilette

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Anthony Boutilette, 39, of Washington, NJ. He passed away suddenly on March 24, 2022 peacefully at home. Anthony "BOUT" was born on January 14, 1983 in Livingston, NJ to Joan Marinaro Boutilette and Kevin Boutilette. He grew up in Newark and Mansfield, NJ before moving to Washington in 1998. Anthony graduated from Warren Hills High School in 2001 where he spent his years playing for the Warren Hills Blue Streaks football team. At 20 years old he welcomed his son Salvatore, who was the light of his life. He valued spending time with his family, who supported his many hobbies and passions. Anyone who knew him well, knew the kindness of his heart. He was a man of dignity and integrity and often referred to as an "old soul". To know him, was to love him. Most recently Anthony was working for Luso Glass Company in Newark. He was a carpenter by trade and a very talented craftsman who was passionate about his work. Anthony was a simple man. He always enjoyed all the little things in life like cooking and spending time with his family, especially his Son, Sal. His greatest pride and joy came from watching Sal grow into the young man he is today. He relished in sharing his passions with Sal and treasured creating memories together. Nothing made Anthony happier, than seeing his family happy. He shared a special bond with his mom Joan, who was truly his very best friend. Some of Anthony's fondest memories with his father were when he coached his sports teams. Most recently he spent his free time working out and training for a marathon with Sal and Daniel. If he wasn't working out, you'd find him in the kitchen crafting some of the best meals we have ever had. His favorite times were family dinners that he got to spend with his mom, Sal, Jessica, Dave and Daniel. Anthony and Jessica would often joke about who made the best 'gravy'. They had an unbreakable bond and loved cooking together while spending time reminiscing about their childhood years. Anthony will be missed in life's monumental days just as much as he is missed in the simplest of moments. In addition to his loving parents, Anthony is survived by his son, Salvatore A. Boutilette and his sister Jessica Boutilette. He is also survived by his grandma "Mimi". He had a very large, close-knit family with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who added so much happiness and love to his life. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Salvatore and Jean Marinaro, and Joseph Boutilette. He had such a special bond with his grandmother Jean, who undoubtedly welcomed her only grandson with loving arms into heaven. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday April 1, 2022 from 11 AM – 2:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home. 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 200 Carlton Ave. Washington, NJ.
