Obituary of Wayne G Fleming

Wayne G. Fleming, 74, of Washington, NJ passed away of March 18, 2022, at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. Wayne was born on September 18, 1947, in Glen Gardner, NJ to the late Warren Fleming and Florence Lance. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during The Vietnam War. Wayne earned the rank of Sergeant during his time in the military. Upon his honorable discharge, Wayne went on to work for American Can in Washington, NJ until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time, and he had a passion for golf. Wayne was a longtime member of the Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale, NJ. Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne Fleming Jr. and his wife Brenda, and his granddaughter, Claudia. He also leaves behind his sister, Patti Jo McConnell and his stepparents, Nancy Fleming and Walter McConnell. In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Madelyn, who passed on January18, 2022. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will be held privately and inurnment at Northampton Memorial Shrine will be announced at a later date.
