Obituary of Madelyn L Fleming/ Reuther

Madelyn L. Fleming/ Reuther, 70, of Washington, NJ passed away on January 18, 2022 at Lopatcong care Center, Lopatcong, NJ. Madelyn was born on September 22, 1951 in Newton Hospital in Newton, NJ to the late Joseph and Dorothy Reuther. She was a graduate from Hackettstown High School class of 1970 and worked as the head chef at Warren Haven Nursing Home for many years until her retirement in 2014. Madelyn was a past member of the Washington Emergency Squad for over 10 years. She enjoyed crocheting and camping. She also cherished the time she spent baking and shopping with her granddaughter, Claudia. Madelyn is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Wayne Fleming and their son; Wayne Fleming Jr. and his wife Brenda. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Claudia Fleming and a nephew, Joseph Reuther and his wife Clara. In addition to her parents, Madelyn is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph "Pete" Reuther and her niece, Cindy Reuther and nephew, Robby Reuther. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will be held privately.
