Obituary of Josephine L Rose
Josephine Louise Rose, 97, of Washington, NJ went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Josephine was born on October 31, 1923 in Plainfield, NJ to the late Joseph and Ida Mae "Wells" Malpere. In her early life she travelled the country with the circus as a Palm Reader. She then worked at RCA Victor, after which she became a Health Care Worker for the NJ State School in Clinton, NJ. Throughout the 90s and early 2000's she took pride in her job as the beloved Childcare Worker at Oakwood Lanes in Washington until her retirement at 87. Josephine was a caring and giving person who crocheted hats for babies in the hospital and created and dressed teddy bears for women in prison to give to their children. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, sewing, travelling, making clothes and blankets, baking and decorating cakes, and music by John Prine.
Josephine is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Malpere and her sister Florence Conger. She is survived by her sister, Elsie Solowynsky; daughters, Joanne Hoffman and her husband Gerald, Mary Rusnak and her husband Paul, Kim Rose and her wife Margaret, and Susan Rose; sons, Joseph Nicholas Ephraim and his wife JoAnne, and Joseph David Rose and his wife Margaret; her grandchildren Suzi Rose, Rikilyn Werner, Gerald Hoffman Jr., Scott Hoffman, Todd Hoffman, Joseph Rose, Raina Rusnak, Steven Rusnak, Joseph Ephraim, and Joelle Teachey; and her great-grandchildren Jack Rose, Gage Todd, Scarlett Todd, Travis Hoffman, Jack Rose Hoffman, Sage Ferrari, and Seth Teachey.
