Obituary of Robert G Baldwin
Robert G. Baldwin, 81, of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on April 24, 2021 at home with his wife Barbara at his side, his room was now made ready for him in his father's house. Robert was born on June 28, 1939 in Morristown, NJ to the late George and Helen Baldwin. Robert grew up in Washington. He graduated from Washington High School class of 1957 and earned a degree in business from The New York Institute of Finance. Robert worked for the Easton Express in the advertising and sales department and later as a security guard for Securitas at Elastimold in Hackettstown, NJ. Robert spent much of his youth at the Washington Train Station, watching the steam locomotives coming and going. This developed into a lifelong passion and love of the railroad, model trains and locomotives. He was a daily follower of the stock market and trading stocks. After retirement Robert found enjoyment in watching and feeding the wildlife that would visit him in his yard. He would often feed the deer from his hand. Robert was a member of the Montana UMC and a friend of the Summerfield UMC and the Oxford UMC.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Barbara Irene (Chaytor) Baldwin; stepchildren, Tanya Lennon and her husband Joseph, William "Bud" Miller, Michael Miller and Brian "The Kid" Miller; Step Grandchildren, Ellie Lennon and Landon "The Little Kid" Miller; Robert was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Jane Baldwin.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday April 30, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Summerfield United Methodist Church. 68 Summerfield Rd., Belvidere, NJ 07823. Funeral services will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Summerfield Cemetery.
