Obituary of David M Schmidt

David M. Schmidt, 57, passed away suddenly at his home in Franklin Township, NJ on February 6, 2021. David was born in Berks County, PA on December 19, 1963 to the late Michael and Pauline (Nerino) Schmidt. David graduated from Warren Hills High School class of 1982. He worked as a cook for many diners in the area. He also owned and operated David's Family Restaurant in Phillipsburg for many years. Additionally, David proudly traveled throughout Warren County selling ice cream with his Dave's Treats and Eats Ice Cream truck. Some of his greatest passions were music and attending concerts. He also enjoyed having yard sales at his home. David loved his family and cherished time spent with them. Some of his fondest memories were the family trips to Dorney Park. David is survived by his loving sister, Gwenn Smith, and her husband Tom; his stepmother Nancy Gianni and stepmother Lydia Schmidt; nieces Nicole, Jenna, and Brynn; and his cat Baby. David is predeceased by his grandparents, Herman and Audrey Schmidt and Edward and Mary Nerino. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
